About

Hi, my name is Rachel.

I am an educator, writer, and artist living in Philadelphia. In my down time I enjoy reading with a large cup of coffee, tending a garden, and hanging with my husband. As an artist and writer, my work focuses on relationships, sexuality, mental health, injustice, and life as a woman. My writing is deeply personal as I channel my experiences with depression, anxiety, grief, abuse and trauma into poetry, essays, and someday a novel. My poetry has been published in anthologies by Moonstone Arts Center and Poet’s Choice. You can hear me read at poetry events and open mics follow my Instagram for the latest updates and events!

As an arts educator, I hope to encourage children and young adults to find a passion for the arts and express their creativity. I have over seven years of experience working in informal education leading programs on art, science, history, culture, and movement for children aged 2-teens! I received my BA in Art History and Anthropology in 2016, from Stony Brook University and my MA in Museum Education in 2020, from the University of the Arts.
